Bay welcomed Kennington in their last home game. Bay drew with kennington earlier in the season after being 2 up ended drawing 2-2 needing to win this game and their last game to have a chance of finishing runners up.
Bay started brightly looking dangerous on attack and solid in defence .
Bay had Keeper Aaron Kilburn injured after 20 with a head injury and had to put Dean Lewis in goal. Harry ledger gave Bay the lead soon after this change firing home from inside the box to continue his recent scoring exploits. He then scored again after a Luke Parker through ball. Bay now leading 2-0
Bay went in 2 up at half time and came out in the second half looking to go further ahead and were playing some nice football
Luke Parker joined Aaron on the injured list and now the ambulance crew had to deal with a Collar bone injury.
Thankfully both the lads were given a clean bill of health in the early hours of the morning
Kennington did have a chance to pull one back but Dean Lewis saved with his feet. Ledger had a chance for his hatrick but hit the crossbar.
Bay failed to go further ahead but still came out winning 2-0 with stand in keeper Lewis delighted to have kept a clean sheet.
This was a good performance after last weeks 6-2 defeat although the scoreline did not tell the full story,
Bay having created enough chances to get something out of the game.
This Victory moved Bay into third with one game to play away to Ashford united. If Bay win this game they go second on goal difference and await the outcome of Ashford borough last 3 games. They have to play leaders Ramsgate and local rivals Ashford United.
Whatever the outcome this has been a good season for this young side playing some outstanding football

Bay travelled to Southwood stadium in this league game , after last weeks defeat this was a game Bay had to win to keep alive any chance of honours , Bay started well getting about the Rams but giving away free kicks in our own third which Ramsgate number 8 had a outstanding delivery with every ball, This was causing problems and Bay fell behind after a Captain Ben emery headed clear only for the ball to fall to a Rams player who hit it straight back through the crowded area and put them in front and it was a good finish . Bay did not drop their heads or allow Rams to dominate and were very much in the game
Bay went 2 down after Emery went to clear and the ball bobbled over his foot to a grateful Rams Forward who could not miss from inside the box , Bay changed from a 4-5-1 to a 4-4-2
Pushing Petts wide and ledger up top joining Haley , Bay 2 down kept on doing the right things and got a goal on 38 minuets through Liam Petts when the ball was cleared by the Rams defence Petts Volleyed the ball into the right hand top corner with his left foot from about 30 yards a truly spectacular goal
Bay went in 2-1 down at Half time , They came out in the second Half with a belief that they could go on and win the game , Ledger was causing problems for the Rams defence Bay competing for every ball and putting pressure all over the pitch , Bays defence winning everything with Sam collins and Luke Parker dealing with the wide players and Partridge and Emery dominating the central area this was the platform to go on and win the game
Now With Hooker , Halsey and page and Petts linking up play in central midfield bay got the equaliser after Sam collins broke up, play found Page who played a through ball to ledger with two defenders around him he still had a lot to do and he used his strength and finished with real quality 2-2
Bay took the lead after after collins picked the ball up moved into space hit a diagonal ball wide right for petts who headed the ball to ledger to fire home 3-2 , Bay now leading had further chances to extended their lead but missed the chances one from hooker who missed from about ten yards with a volley but Bay did go further ahead when they were awarded a penalty after Ledger neat control and turn and hit a volley that a Rams player handled Captain Ben Emery stepped up and put the ball in the bottom right corner 4-2 ,Bay had controlled the game and certainly showed their battling qualities and restricted The Rams to only a couple of chances With Aaron Kilburn making one outstanding save down to his left
This was an outstanding Team performance and Results went Bays way , Bay have 3 tough games left and must win all 3 to have any chance but the league is still wide open for a number of teams

Bay welcomed Holland’s & Blair to the safety net stadium in this league game , Bay still in the hunt for the league title had to win this game to keep the pressure on the teams around them , Bay playing a 3-5-2 formation looked to get at Holland’s early in the game and did start brightly but after 20 mins they seemed to start making the game hard work , giving the ball away in dangerous areas sitting to keep and allowing themselves to get frustrated with Holland’s & Blair now starting to get a foot hold in the game and looked dangerous and took the lead after they caught bay on the break with young Aaron Kilburn failing to hold on to the ball on a greasy surface Bay defence failed to follow up and A Holland’s player did for a simple tap in.
Bays first half performance was not their best but did create chances and like previous weeks failed to take them , Bay switched to a 4-5-1 formation which seemed to help get hold of the game , bay went in at half time trailing 1-0.
Bay came out in the second half and looked to get back in the game but one ball over the top undone them with the forward lobbing the advancing Kilburn.
Now 2 down Bay were chasing the game and still creating chances a ledger header cleared of the line was a turning point in the game
Holland’s keeper making some good saves and Kilburn in the Bay goal also making a couple of saves keeping his side in the game. Bay made some changes brining on Smith for Codi Dean and Sam Collins for Dean Lewis , Bay were dominating the game now being caught on the break but could not find a break through , Bay did score when Smith was put through and his shot rebounded up in the air and he then headed the ball in.
Game on Bay brought on Luke Parker for Ryan hooker and went 3-4-3 ,Bay had chances to get a draw in the very least but Holland’s & Blair came out with the points.
This was not a good day at the office with the amount of chances being created and not being taken this has been costly to this young side over the last few weeks. Bay now face a few tough tests away to Ramsgate , Ashford united and Ashford borough with Kennington at home these are must win games. These games are all going to decide who wins the league as all the top teams are playing each other in the next few weeks.

Bay entertained League leaders Folkestone, bay have games in hand on their opponents and having lost at their ground were looking to get all 3 points and hoping this time chances created would be converted
Bay started brightly and worked hard all over the pitch , keeping the ball and creating chances with their goalie being kept quite busy
folkestone playing 3-5-2 and very direct and Bay playing a 4-4-2 with the ball on the ground , bays defence dealing with the long ball restricted Folkestone to only a couple of half chances and Bay had a couple of good chances to take the lead kodi dean should have scored as should of Haley
Folkestone had to change their formation to cope with Bay they went to a 4-4-2
Bay did take the lead after a good spell of possession harry ledger scored on 36 after good work by Liam petts , ledger thumping in from 10 yards , after taking the lead Bay continued to dominate the game but went in only one up
Bay continued to take the game to Folkestone and were the better side but could not get the second , codi dean was replaced by charlie smith with half an hour left and got a couple of chances straight away , which he did not take but was causing Folkestone problems
Folkestone now pushing numbers forward looking for the equaliser , Bay keeping the ball and using good width with Tamplin and page
the game became quite stretched and Bay looking the most likely to score but Football has a habit of kicking you in the teeth sometimes when you are the better side you don't always get the rewards and bay were caught napping in the last 5 down our left not tracking runners and allowing the right winger to set up in the box for a folkestone player to tap home
folkestone management team admitted after the game we deserved more than we got but that is no conciliation when you have dominated a game , folkestone remain top but Bay can replace them if they win their games in hand , with Ashford borough also dropping points this may not be 2 points dropped but a point gained come the end of the season , with all the teams playing each other around the top 5
This young side learned the hard way today and this is part of their football education clean sheets win games
Overall a good performance and we continue to have a big hand in the title race

We welcomed Hythe to the safety net stadium in a fixture reverse due to them wanting a 10am kick off and with the clocks going forward this would have been harsh on both sides . Hythe playing their first season in the kent youth league at u18 level have been struggling all season but their results had picked up over recent weeks , so Bay had to make sure they did not have the game already won in their minds.
Bay showed their intentions when they took the lead after only 2 minutes on the clock. Winning the toss and after four neat passes we got a corner and Captain Ben Emery headed the ball into the far right hand corner from the left hand side of the six yard box; 1-0.
Bay went further ahead after 8 mins when Codi Dean was brought down in the box after cutting in from the left hand side. Up stepped Ben tamplin who placed the ball in the bottom right corner.
Jake page got Bays third after he slid right on the bye line to nick the ball and then drilled home; 3-0 with 14 mins on the clock.
Paul haley was next to get in on the act after a patient build up; 4-0 after 19 mins.
Bay were awarded another penalty after a Hythe player handled in the box from a corner, Ben Tamplin stepped up and went to the keepers left this time and gave the keeper no chance; 5-0 after 21 mins.
Liam Petts scored on 23 mins after he made a clever run and Tamplin found him with a neat through ball; 6-0.
Hythe did almost score when the Bay defence switched off and Aaron Kilburn saved to his left hand post from a header.
Bay got the seventh on 41 mins after Liam Petts won the ball inside the box and shot which took a slight deflection and went in; 7-0. Bay were playing some nice football and creating plenty of chances. Hythe to their credit had worked hard all over the pitch to try and contain Bays pass and move game.
Bay continued to attack in numbers in the second half and went 8 nil up after breaking from inside their own box and Haley picked the ball up wide right cut in and rolled the ball across the box for Tamplin to tap in from 4 yards for his Hatrick; 8-0.
Bay had several corners and Harry Ledger got amongst the goals when he scored from a header on 64 mins; 9-0.
3 minutes later substitute Freddie Mills scored with a bullet header after a ball in the box from Haley on the right hand side ,Mills run across the front of the defender and Bang 10 nil
Liam Petts got Bays eleventh goal on 69 mins after a neat passage of play found him and he slotted home with composure for his hatrick. Bay could have scored more goals but got a bit sloppy with their passing.
This win put Bay third with games in hand on teams around them with a vital game against Folkestone at home this Sunday, a game they must win to keep alive the chance of winning the League.
Although this game was always going to be a victory on paper this was a good performance from this young side and players who have not had much football showed what they can do.

Bay looked to get a win which would see them go top of the table again , but found themselves 2 down after creating good chances but failing to take them , and conceding a couple of sloppy goals
Bay were certainly a better side and showed Folkestone how to play the ball on the ground with Folkestone ethics being hassle and play long balls down the channels
Bay got back in the game when dean Lewis pulled one back , bay trailing 2 . 1 at the half continued to play decent football but out any reward the Folkestone keeper made a couple of decent saves to keep his side in front but bay conceded a third and things got worse when Tamplin got shown a red card after he flicked his foot out at his opponent out of frustration
Bay now down to ten men pulled a goal back when ledger scored from close range after a corner ,bay still taking the game to their opposition and not with out chances but the game was over after a quick break caught out bay when pushing numbers forward in search of the equaliser , Coleman coming out caught the forward and the referee awarded a penalty
Although disappointed with the result all said and done it was not a bad performance and Folkestone seem to be our bogey side at u18s and we always manage to get a man sent off , the lads must learn not to get frustrated with our opponents tactics
Another step in their football education and we shall see these lads in the future playing at first team level and beyond

2 penalties and 3 outstanding goals sealed victory against local rivals Whitstable Town.
What a weekend of football; the heriocs of the first team and nine goals in this u18s game.
We welcomed Whistable to the safety net stadium in the league after not playing for a few weeks. This was a much welcomed fixture and, having been beaten over at their place, we were determined not to allow them to do the double over us.
From the start Bay showed they were up for it but we gave away a free kick in the opening minute down our right just outside the area. Whistable took the lead from the kick with Coleman beatrn low to his right.
Although one down Bay took the game to the visitors showing how we play football at this club. With neat interchange passing and good movement Bay got the equaliser. After Lewis picked the ball up wide left he found Haley, who controlled the ball then flicked it over the defender, ran round him, dropped his shoulder in front of the next defender, moved right and got the ball out of his feet and drilled home from just inside the box 1 . 1 after 23 minutes.
Bay continued to outplay their opponents but had to beware of getting caught on the break. Bay then took the lead. After neat work from Page down the right he found Haley who's quick feet deceived the defender who brought him down for a penalty.
Tamplin stepped up and the keeper saved but the rebound came back to Tamps and he smashed it home.
The visitors equalised just before half time 2. 2. At the interval. Bay put in a brilliant performance in the first half and Whistable were lucky to be in the game.
Bay continued to dominate and the free flowing football was causing problems all over the park. Bays third came from Petts who struck a wonderful left foot shoot from outside the box straight into the top corner with 50 played. Unfortunally Whistable levelled again 3 3
Bay got their fourth when substitute Codi Dean broke down the left and was fouled inside the box Tamplin stepped up and put the penalty shot into the bottom right corner. 4 3 up and playing with a real purpose Bay deserved to be in front.
Bay scored again when Tamplin controlled a cleared ball outside the box and hit a spectacular right foot shot into the top right hand corner scraping the underside of the bar with 10 left on the clock.
Bay changed to a 4-4-2 from 3-5-2 and did conceded from a free kick into the box with only a minute left to give everybody last minute nerves but they managed to keep the ball in the opponents half and ran the clock down.
This was an outstanding team performance and for the neutral a good game to watch. Bay showed their rivals how to play and totally dominated the game which in truth the scoreline does not accurately reflect.

Bay Travelled to Phoenix sports in the kent county cup , Having played them and lost earlier in the season in a close encounter ,Bay knew it was going to be a tough game and looked forward to the challenge
Bay matched their opponents with a 3-5-2 formation , having confidence that they could go on and play the football they have in the last couple of weeks just lacking a bit of fortune around the goal
Bay showed their intent from the start creating early chances getting good width and clever movement off the ball , Tamplin playing up top with Haley and Leading the line well
After a sustained bout of pressure forcing several corners , Bay took the Lead through Haley on 42 mins after Connor Halsey played a clever through ball and Haley finished well
Bay were totally dominating the game and deserved to be in front by a bigger score line. Unfortunately all the hard work was undone within a minute after a mix up between Coleman and Emery 1-1 right on the stroke of halftime.
Bay continued to take the game to their opponents dominating possession and when Dean lewis broke up play just outside our box he drove forward hit a direct pass to haley who's clever dummy allowed the ball to go through to Tamplin who fained one way and cut inside to unleash an outstanding shot from 25yards 2-1 with 57 mins on the clock. Bay continued to keep the ball and restrict their opponents to the odd half chance. The Phoenix keeper pulled off one outstanding save from Connor Halsey down low to his left after halsey curled one low towards the bottom corner.
Bay were forced to make two changes after Evans pulled a groin muscle and Ledger had a back injury. Each being replaced by luke parker and freddie Mills respectively who both got straight into the game. Yet again we conceded a goal after failing to clear a ball down our left when it should have been put out of play and then defend the throw. Instead a Phoenix player come away with the ball and put a square ball cross the box for a simple goal. 2-2, goal scored in the 93rd minute.
Extra time saw Bay have more chances but fell behind for the first time in this game after 10 minuets 3-2. We battled and fought all the way till the end but as in previous weeks our chances created to goals scored ratio lets us down but each and every player gave their all and must be proud of the performance and the way they conducted themselves through out this match.
On another day we could have had the game wrapped up by half time but this is what makes football such a wonderful game, its unpredictability. To see such a great display of football from this young Bay side is enough to know that going forward we have a great crop of players that will go on to do this club proud.
Phoenix players contributed to a game played in a great spirit and it's nice to see both teams getting the ball down and play. The referee also had a great game and deserves praise for the way if officiated in the middle.
We wish Phoenix all the best in the competition and look forward to locking horns again in the not to distance future

Bay welcomed Ashford to the safety net stadium in the league , looking to get 3 points on the board and go back to the top of the league
Ashford showed their intent from the start with strong tackles some within the rules and some not , looking to stop bay playing the passing game which this club is known for
Bay unfortunately allowed their visitors to take the lead in the opening ten minuets , which then made Ashford determined to put their foot in and break up the play with real aggression .
Bay did play some nice football at times and created chances but failed to take them , players were being sloppy with their passing and getting caught in possession which put us under pressure
Bay had numerous free kicks , hopefully Bay would get something from one of them to punish Ashford for constant fouling
This proved to be true after a good build up , Bay received a free kick from about 30 yards out , Connor Halsey stepped up and hit the top right hand corner 1-1
Bay pushed Liam Petts further forward in the second half and this seemed to give them a bit more support around haley ,continuing to create chances hopefully they could go on and win the game , Ashford were reduced to ten men early in the second half after yet another foul , could bay make their man advance tell
Ashford to their credit threw bodies in the way continued to work all over the pitch , the keeper made a couple of good saves and collected a couple of balls from corners to relive pressure off his team mates and were not without chances themselves to win the game
Bay pushing for the win and Ashford getting everyman behind the ball and trying to catch Bay on the break it was a intense last half hour
But unfortunally we did not manage to get a second and Ashford performed really well with ten men
Bay creating loads of chances as they have done so far this season but in the first half of the season they were going in
This young side must learn they will be subject to the physical side of the game , which they must learn how to mix there game and be clever in moving the ball quicker and keep possession
although our results have slipped over the last few weeks ,with 2 losses and a draw, we have not played badly and we shall be looking to get amongst the goals in the cup away to Phoenix in the Kent county cup

Bay travelled to Dover in the league looking to get back to winning ways, But fell behind after a long ball down the middle, which seemed to be Dover tactics looking to playing off the useful no-9
With Bay looking to go through the middle on to many occasions and not stretching the game with width this played into Dover hands as bay found it hard to break through but when they got width in the game and switched play they did create chances , but Dover got a second a repeat of the first
Although trailing by 2 goals at half time bay did have one cleared of the line missed some chances and Dover's keeper made a couple of decent saves
Bay started the second half at a higher tempo and showed a good work ethic and were rewarded a penalty after Petts was fouled inside the box after two good shouts for a penalty it was third time lucky
Ben Tamplin smashed the ball home and game on , Bay should now put Dover on the back foot and go on to win the game but when you have just scored you must concentrate and within 3 minuets Dover scored again to go 3-1 up this giving them back the impetus
Bay Did score again through Haley after good work from Codi Dean out wide left squaring a ball across the box , Bay had again given themselves a chance but it was not to be and lost 3-2 which is a blow as they have now lost top spot to Folkestone , but with plenty of football to be played it is only a minor set back and will be looking to get back to winning ways next week at home to Ashford united
we can not fault the lads work rate and effort today but lacking any real conviction in front of goal cost us the game another lesson learnt for this young side in their football development

Bay welcomed Phoenix to Winch's Field for the quarter final of the cup, hoping to pick up where they left off before the christmas break.
Phoenix started well and were playing 3-5-2. Bay had difficulty with this. They couldn't cope and fell behind after only five mins to a good solo goal.
This should have spurred Bay on but they were not playing very well and struggled to get a hold of the game and went further behind when the Phoenix wing back drifted past 3 Bay defenders to shoot across Coleman and put Bay further behind.
Bay then had a good spell but could not get a goal back and so trailed 2-0 at half time.
Bay changed their formation at half time and the lads got a flea in the ear. Bay now playing a 3-4-3 looked more dangerous going forward and started to get good delivery into the box but with no runners this was easy pickings for the away goalie. Bay did hit the bar and missed a couple of chances from inside the six yard box.
Phoenix were not without chances themselves and if Bay could get one this would give them a lift and a fighting chance , Phoenix are a very well organised side and this was stopping Bay getting through.
Bay did get a penalty when a Phoenix player handled and Tamplin stepped up and got us back in the game. Bay continued to huff and puff showing a true fighting spirit but did not manage to get a second.
This was a good cup tie and this young Bay side gave themselves too much to do but never gave in and will bounce back next week away to Dover in the League.
We wish Phoenix all the best in the semi and look forward to meeting them in a few weeks in the Kent county cup when we shall be looking for revenge
Taking the positives out of the game, Danny Stace had the best game he has had in a Bay shirt and new signing Matt Evans looks a good strong defender
so, although disappointed with the first half, the second half showed that we can roll up our sleeves and on another day we may well may have got something but that's football for you.

Bay Travelled to Thamesmead again after having already played them once in the one5nine league cup and coming away with a 3-2 victory , This time we locked horns in the Kent County cup
Thamesmead would be looking for revenge for that defeat and also knocking them out of the John Ullman semi last season and it was them who had the better chances in the opening 15 and could have been in front by a couple at least but with their players being selfish rather than play a team mate in , they did go in front after a long ball which seemed to be their game plan and it was causing Bay some problems
Bay were now one down and Thamesmead playing a direct game with four attacking players , Bay started to press higher up the pitch and were rewarded for the hard work when Tamplin scored after 34 mins
with a simple tap in , Although Bay went one down they showed that they are always going to create chances and worked hard without the ball putting pressure on early and that is why we got the equalizer
Bay were now playing the flowing game that they like to , with Thamesmead playing direct football it was a contrast of two styles
The game was 1-1 at half time in truth both sides having good chances to have been in front with both sides contributing to a good game
Bay continued to play the ball on the deck and were dealing better with the long balls and the energetic Page down the right driving into the box with the Defender leaning in on Page who was knocked off balance , The referee awarded a penalty which was in truth a soft award but Tamplin Ensured He made up for a miss in our last game by hitting the ball to the keepers right with real pace although the keeper guessed the right way it had to much power 2-1 after 65 mins
Thamesmead drew level within ten mins after another long ball was Bays undoing with Stace not getting a clean head on the ball it went through to a Thamesmead player who had gambled on the ball clearing the defence and he put his team level 2-2 75 mins played
This made for an interesting last quarter of an hour with both sides having chances it was Bay who took the lead after a powerful run from Ledger he squared a ball for Haley inside the box to put us in front with ten mins left 3-2
Bay made the game safe after winning possession and worked the ball up field which found Tamplin with the ball bouncing of a defender he saw the keeper rushing out and he lobbed the keeper with his left foot from just outside the box 4-2 Game over and a Tamplin hatrick
Bay saw out the game and go into the hat for the next round , Although they could have been trailing in the opening exchanges , goals win games and this young side certainly know how to do that this combined with a real desire and passion makes this a dangerous side for any opposing team
Connor Partridge had an outstanding game at centre back today playing in place of vice captain Ben Emery , who is out with a shoulder injury , The whole team must be congratulated on this performance today
showing a real appetite for the game

Bay started this game with real purpose and built up a good bit of pressure in the opening minutes , forcing four corners and were awarded a penalty after only 5 mins played
after Liam Petts was fouled. Ben Tamplin stepped up and the keeper pulled off a great save with the ball coming out to Dean Lewis who blazed over with the goal at his mercy.
The penalty miss did not effect the lads in any way and they kept the pressure on and forced several more corners. They took the lead when a Faversham clearance found Ryan Hooker who sent in a high curling ball that Paul Haley headed home from 8 yards 1-0 [15 mins]
Bay were caught out by Faversham from a corner when they failed to clear and a Faversham Player struck home to equalise [24 mins].
Bay went back in front within 2 minutes when, after yet another corner, the ball fell to Paul Haley with his back to goal. He turned and volleyed home 2-1 [ 26 mins played ].
Bay created further chances and were unlucky not to be further ahead but Faversham's keeper made some good saves. Bay got their third and Haley's hatrick after Ben Tamplin, out wide left, hit a ball across the box which the Faversham defence failed to deal with and Haley gambled at the far post and put the ball into the top corner 3-1.
Bay got another before half time after good work high up the pitch with Page and Haley pressing the ball and forcing the mistake, Petts stole the ball and drove into the box and finished well 4-1.
Dealing with faversham's direct approach well, Bay were forced into a change after the impressive Emery had to come off after dislocating his shoulder, being replaced by Danny Stace.
Bay came out in the second half and conceded a penalty which faversham converted to give them a fighting chance but this young side continued to look dangerous going forward and scored again after good work by Page out wide right. He found Haley in the box who scored his fourth and Bays fifth [56 mins] 5-2.
Bay again gave faversham a glint of hope after conceding another but Haley was not done with his scoring antics and scored two more goals. For his fifth he found space in the box for a simple tap in and he certainly saved his best until last. Picking the ball up on the edge of the box to the left he switched the ball across his body and curled the ball into the top right hand corner 7-3.
Haley's finishing was first class today and with the rest of the team playing well all over the park , this was an outstanding effort and display of Football by a exciting young side.

Bay travelled to Ditton minors in the Kent County Cup and, not knowing a great deal about them, it was going to be a tricky game.
In truth Bay play in a stronger league than Ditton and were favourites. They did win although not as easily as some people had suggested they would have.
Paul Haley opened the scoring on 7 mins. After some neat play he finished well. Bay were playing their normal passing game but should have been playing at a higher tempo. leading 1-0 at half time Bay had not killed off Ditton who still in the game. Bay should have been further ahead but missed several chances.
Ditton were looking to catch Bay on the break. Bay were still creating chances but were not taking them and they needed a second goal to relax them.
Stace replaced Partridge in the second half and scored our second goal. After good work down the right from Codi Dean Bay won a corner which found its way to Stace who stabbed the ball home from six yards with 76 mins played.
Ditton got back in the game, scoring after the Bay defence failed to clear a long ball. With Dean lewis sliding in to tackle, he deflected the ball past Bay's keeper with about 5 mins left to play.
Bay saw out the game and will play Thamesmead town in the next round, having already met them in the One 5 Nine cup already when Bay won by 3-2.
The lads played some outstanding football today and should have won by a bigger margin.

Bay were back in league action away to Holland's and blair , after last week's good win in the cup
holland's and blairs pitch is not the best but this did not stop this young Bay side playing football with Page raiding down the right and Tamplin doing the same down the left
Bay took the lead after a Tamplin shot , cutting in from the left with the keeper unable to hold the ball Petts followed in for a simple tap in after only 5 mins played
Haley put Bay further ahead after a ball played up to him went through his legs and he turned quickly and finished from just inside the area with 22 mins played
At times bay looked to play the long ball to release the wide men but in truth would have been better to play quicker through the midfield to release them
When they did play short quick passes they got rewarded for it , The third goal was a strange one after a neat passage of play Tamplin delivered a cross from wide left across the box and the defender who should have wrapped his foot around the ball to clear , He just smashed it into his own net with 40 mins played
Bay came out in the second half and had a brief spell which allowed Holland's & Blair a couple of chances on the break and could have conceded after Blair hit a post , but bay resumed normal service and
were now playing some nice football with the midfield trio of Hooker , Halsey and Petts dominating the central area ,The fourth goal was an outstanding piece of football with the ball in bays own half Tamplin started the move then four passes later with every player involved in the move touching the ball no more than twice , Tamplin crossed for substitute Codi Dean to smash home at the far post 4-0 after 58 mins played
Bay should have gone further ahead but Blair's keeper made some good saves .Bay got a fifth after receiving a free kick which Halsey delivered into the danger area and petts volleyed into the top left hand corner after 65 mins played 5 - 0
Bay made two changes replacing Paul Haley and jake page with Elliott Lewis and Freddie Mills , both looked to get involved in the game straight away
Over recent weeks Bay have given away some sloppy goals but today every player worked hard , showing great desire to keep a clean sheet
Next week Bay go into the Kent County Cup facing Ditton Minors a side from the Maidstone Area

After last weeks disappointing opening 26 mins and coming away from Whitstable empty handed , Bay looked to bounce back away at Thamesmead in the 1-5-9 cup.
Thamesmead are having a new stadium built and this will be an outstanding venue in the future.
Whilst I bent down to grab my note book on the sidelines , the game started and to my amazement I looked up and saw Paul Haley in the box slotting one past the keeper. Not even a minute played and one up.
Bay played some really nice football in the opening exchanges, looked hungry and were working hard all over the park. Thamesmead had an outstanding forward who's trickery and pace was always going to cause problems and he got Thamesmead's equaliser, scoring from a really tight angle down Bay's right on 39 mins.
Bay got themselves in front and deserved to be in front when Tamplin found Page, who passed for Haley to run onto and he scored his second of the game [41].
Bay had chances to go further ahead. Tamplin hit the bar and Hooker scuffed a shot when clean through. A strange event happened with one man and his dogs just before half time. From Tamplins shot, the ball hit the bar and flew over the fencing.
The Thamesmead keeper shouted over to the man asking for the ball and he decided to let his Jack russells have a game of their own shouting back you can have your ball back when we get our park back.
The Thamesmead player wanted the ball back to get on with the game. The player and the man were just exchanging words then the referee had to ask for it back.
Half time Bay 2-1 up.
Bay were now getting tighter to Thamesmead's main threat in the second half and they looked composed on the ball with good width and moving it about nicely.
Thamesmead got level when Lewis allowed the wide man to get a ball in the box and it was only cleared to the edge of the box for a Thamesmead player to drill it back in to the bottom right corner [60
mins]
Bay to their credit kept doing all the right things and were awarded a penalty after page was blocked off and tripped. Tamplin stepped up and hit the ball with real power and although the keeper got his hands to it he could not keep it out soTamplin, who was celebrating his 18th Birthday, put us back in front 3-2 [68mins].
Bay made a couple of changes when the outstanding Ledger was forced off with injury. Russell coming on going to right back with Partridge moving into centre back.
Codie Dean replaced Tamplin out on the left and Charlie Smith replacing Haley up top. Smith could have scored a couple showing real energy after coming on.
This was a really good game of football played in a good manner by both sides and all involved today did both their clubs proud.
The lads were asked if they could bounce back and they certainly did that today, showing that last weeks blip was not going to affect their belief in their ability.

Bay travelled to local rivals Whitstable for a league game , With the u18s playing some good football over recent weeks they went there full of confidence
The game was put beyond their reach conceding 3 goals in the opening 25 mins , Bays start was poor
Whitstable's Tactics to stop us playing certainly worked with Bays defence at sixes and sevens Whitstable's number 10 causing all the problems down our right
The Defence failed to get any pressure on the ball allowing Whitstable's N0-10 to drive into the box and fire past Coleman to take the lead
Bay did not learn by this and allowed Whitstable to go further ahead after giving away a penalty and then Whitstable scored again from down the right after a ball was squared and a whitstable player slid in to tap home
Bay were much better in the second half and created a few chances with not really getting a rub of the green but at any level of football it is always going to be a tall order to get back into the game after giving the opponents a 3 goal lead
Its disappointing to lose to a rival team especially when several key players failed to put in a performance but credit must go to Whitstable Knowing that Herne Bay are a club that like to get the ball down and play , They did not allow us to play our normal game , during the game there were flashes of the good football this side are capable of playing but they simply did not do enough of it
This young side must learn how to deal with such tactics and apply more pressure to the teams they are playing

Bay welcomed the Rams to the safety net stadium in the league. Knowing this was going to be the toughest test so far this season , Bay had to be on the boil from the off.
The opening ten minute period was encouraging with Haley volleying straight at the keeper and then forcing a great save with a flying half volley.
Myles Coleman between the sticks for Bay had to make two good saves, one from a free kick and one low down to his left.
Ramsgate were applying good pressure all over the pitch and looking to play down the channels. Bay had a couple of nervous moments as did Ramsgate but the opening 20 was pretty much even with Bay probably creating the better chances. With 26 played Ben Tamplin volleyed Bay in front from 30 yards out, a Truly spectacular goal.
After taking the lead Bay started to keep the ball and work openings and had further chances but
they went in at the interval leading only by Tamplins goal.
Keeping a clean sheet in the second half would see bay through. With Emery marshalling his fellow defenders and winning everything around him , Stace showing great composure , lewis and ledger raiding from full back , Bay took control of the game. Petts started to get good service out wide causing problems and linking well with Haley. Page doing the same down the other flank.
Bay went further ahead after Paul Haley was fouled after he moved the ball too quickly for the Rams defender who scythed him down inside the box with 67 played.
Tamplin stepped up. The keeper saved his first shot but he followed in and smashed in the rebound. 2-0
Bay made some changes, one forced when Ledger had to come off with a groin injury and Connor Partridge took his place. Further substitutions were made. Stace got a back injury so he was replaced with Trill and Halsey who had worked hard in midfield alongside Hooker and Tamplin was replaced by Charlie Smith.
Ryan Hooker dropped into centre back. Bay then worked really hard all over the pitch, not allowing Ramsgate to get back in the game.
This was a very good performance. Having conceded some sloppy goals in recent games it was pleasing to see the determination that the lads showed to keep a clean sheet
Ramsgate will be a tough game for anyone in this league and wont be far away come the end of the season.

Bay travelled to kennington cricket ground for a football match. The pitch was good once we removed the stumps!
We did not have a good day at the office. After going two up yet again we allowed the opposition back in the game right on the stroke of half time.
When Bay played quick passes with good movement they got the rewards but they did not do it enough; too many long balls and only having Jake page out wide right as the release at times. This made our game very predictable.
Haley got the first after a clever through ball from Tamplin on 35 minutes played. Ledger got the second after he broke from defence, forced a throw level with the box. From the throw-in the ball fell to him and he smashed it in the bottom left corner with his left foot.
Leading 2-0 Bay should have gone on to win the game but they seem to make silly mistakes and were very poor today, allowing Kennington back into the game .
Everyone, including the supporters on the side line, were getting frustrated. The referee could have been a bit more decisive with one or two decisions at times. He was not giving protection to Bay players with some of the studs up tackles coming their way. In particular Emery was fouled and kicked whilst on the floor forcing him to come off with a shoulder injury. Trill also received a brutal challenge and he too had to come off.
Bay never really created much in the second half. Codie Dean was fouled in the box but nothing was given. Kennington got the equaliser after Bays defence failed to step up quickly enough. Myles Coleman made a couple of good saves including a double save to keep Bay in the game late on
This is part of the lads learning process when a team seem to put themselves about with a good work rate you have to roll up your sleeves and believe in your Ability to combat such tactics.

After Thursdays enthralling encounter bay got back to the league against Dover, With the sun blazing down this was always going to be a tough game for both sides
Bay started brightly moving the ball around Emery organizing across the back , Things looked good and Bay took the lead after a quick free kick Petts found Tamplin who found Page at the far post who half volleyed home from close range , Bay were letting the ball do the work in the early part of this game and were totally dominating and got their second with 17 played
Tamplin was fouled down Dovers right and he took the free kick quickly finding Halsey coming across the near post and He put the ball away with a clever little flick 2-0
Bay were playing some good football pulling Dover's defence all over the place and scored again when Tamplin put the Dover defender under pressure won the ball
skipped round another defender and keeper then squared to Haley to tap home right on the stroke of half time 3-0
Bay came out in the second half and continued to play the way they were then all of a sudden they switched off and Dover got one back , Dover to their credit had not been in the game but thought they may as well have a go and got another one , Bay had lost their shape and discipline one or two players arguing amongst themselves , The heat being a major factor Bay thinking they had the game one
When a game last for ninety minutes but normal service was resumed when bay got the fourth after a patient build and precise passing found Petts on the edge of the box he rounded the keeper and taped home to give Bay a 2 goal cushion
Myles coleman was called upon twice and made two great saves , Bay made a couple of changes Ledger for Stace across the back and Petts for Smith
Page got his second after a through ball found him and he was fouled in the box , He dusted himself down and put the spot kick in the top left hand corner 5-2 with 5 left
The score finished at 5-2 and really Bay let themselves down allowing Dover to get back in the game considering that they were totally dominating
This was an unbelievable day for the weather which did probably play its part but this young side must learn quickly not to ship sloppy goals as they have today and in previous games.

Bay welcomed Folkestone to the safety net stadium in the cup , Folkestone are always a good side at u18s
we new this would be a good test for the lads and having reached the final of this cup last year , we were hoping to do the same
Bay started well and had a couple of chances but unfortunally feel behind after giving away a needles free kick , Folkestone played the ball into the danger area and the ball flicked of a bay player to deceive the keeper
Bay conceded another after more sloppy defending and giving the ball away , so now 2 down bay continued to push forward and had some chances but went in at half time still 2 down
After recent results and the free scoring this was going to be a test of character and with a large crowd watching this was the perfect opportunity to show what they were made off
They did not disappoint and pulled one back through Haley on 65 minuets finding the bottom corner , Bay with their tails up had Folkestone under the cosh and were creating chance after chance and got the equaliser on 70 minuets through Tamplin 2-2
Bay should have put the game beyond folkestone reach substitute Elliott lewis could have had an hatrick , several Bay players had chances but failed to find the net with Folkestone looking to catch bay on the counter attack
The game itself was turning into a great cup tie Bay continually threatening the Folkestone goal but could not find the break through , it was Folkestone who got the next goal after poor defending from a throw in allowing the ball to go across the box finding a Folkestone player who thumped the ball into the bottom right corner 77 minuets played 3-2 ,Bay were constantly knocking on the door and eventually got the equaliser on 87 minuets through the impressive Haley
The game ended 3-3 extra time it was , with Bay continuing to search for the winner they had further chances to put the game to bed but failed to finish , Folkestone had a couple of chances but young Aaron made two good saves
Neither team scored in extra time although Bay done everything but put the ball in the net
Penalties - nerve racking for any player what ever the level , Bay won the toss and went first with Emery who dispatched his penalty Folkestone also scored
All the five nominated players all scored , sudden death Russell stepped up and showed courage to take the sixth penalty but the keeper guessed the right way, Folkestone scored there one , Bay out of the cup 5-6 on penalties
Although out of the cup this u18s side showed real character and we are extremely proud of the performance and it must be said it was a cracking cup tie with both teams contributing
Bay are playing an attractive brand of football but must learn to shut teams out , We wish Folkestone the best of luck in the next round and cant wait to lock horns again in the league

Ashford came at bay from the kick off, Bay were struggling to keep the ball and were making mistakes in the wrong areas
Silly mistakes were putting bay on the back foot and allowing Ashford to put us under pressure with two lively forwards willing to chase and hassle
Ashford deservedly took the lead , when bay failed to clear from the back and got there self in a mess
Bay settled down after they went behind and Tamplin put over from six yards ,Bay also hit the bar and post before they got the equaliser
Tamplin received the ball out wide left and delivered a great ball into the box with Haley looking to head the Ball , Page came steaming in behind him called for it and headed the ball into the top left hand corner
1-1 game on Bay were now passing the ball about better and started to look dangerous going forward and went 2-1 up after winning the ball back from a corner
a good counter attack move found Haley and he scored with 31 minutes played
Bay extended there lead on 39 minuets after great play Page made a good run and finished in the bottom left hand corner 3-1 Page was a handful down the right causing all sorts of problems linking well with Haley , Haley working tirelessly up front as the lone striker won the ball and squared to Tamplin to tap home on 42 minutes 4-1
Two minuets later bay scored again when Halsey with an S found Haley with an L with a magnificent pass and Haley knocked the ball over the advancing keeper 44 minutes on the clock 5-1 Bay scored again two minuets later when tamplin played a through ball for Haley to slot home 46 minuets played 6-1 and Haley hatrick
The game got under way for the second half with the sun beating down Bay took there foot of the gas at times but showed what a good football side they are , Ashford had a couple of chances and Bay hit the woodwork work again , but did manage to get further ahead after Page again did good work out wide he found Haley who chested the ball and volleyed it into the goal 62 minutes played 7-1
Bay scored once more when Tamplin was fouled in the box and stepped up to dispatch the penalty to the keepers right 8-1 with 87 minuets played
This squad has a real quality about it and it was nice to have Captain Charlie Trill back in the squad after a car crash suffering with whiplash and a back injury

Bay travelled to west wickham in a convoy of cars lead by BIG Tone , Having an early start with an 8.30am meet
They certainly were not a sleep at the start of the game , you could see that they were up for the challenge , with Codie Dean raiding down the left & Jake page doing the same down the right
The midfield of petts , Hooker & Tamplin Dictating the play in midfield & bossing the game
Bay got the opener after Dean put a ball in from the left and page {16} headed home on 24 mins , Bay with a couple of changes Young Aaron {16} in goal and across the back line Russell {16} in for injured Trill and Ledger {16} in for Stace
looked assured being marshalled by Captain Emery and the reliable Lewis keeping Wickhams forwards out of the game , Bay were playing some outstanding football , which was a joy to watch
Bay were awarded a free kick down the right hand side 35 yards out Tamplin delivered a great ball into the box and Haley rose to head home the second on 26 mins , continuing to create chances Bay could have been further ahead if it were not for the Wickham keeper pulling off some great saves one brilliant reflex save that kept wickham in the game
Bay did score again on the stroke of half time after Ledger broke up play and drove out from the back finding a Page run with a defence splitting pass 3-0
Second half bay started as they had finished the first and again found the wickham Keeper making some vital saves , but wickham pulled one back on 75 minuets after a coming together of shoulders the referee awarded a penalty 3-1, leading up to the penalty bay had a bit of a sloppy spell losing their shape and not doing the right things but soon got it back together and went further ahead after Wickham failed to clear a corner and it fell to Petts {16} who smashed home from Ten yards on 85 mins 4-1
Bay scored again two minuets later when Ledger again broke up the play and found Tamplin wide left and he cut inside and powered home his shot from just inside the box 87 mins 5-1
Today performance was truly outstanding in the way football should be played , showing great confidence on the ball and believing in each others ability
Myself , Justin & Tony were extremely proud of the lads today and hope we can maintain the level of football that we are currently playing

After last weeks good performance bay looked to impose themselves from the start of this game and were rewarded after good play with a corner. Paul
Haley delivered a good ball into the box and Ben Emery rose to head home the opener after 7 minutes.
Hythe were working hard and equalised when a free kick was floated into the box and Dan Stace glanced the ball over Michael Coleman who, in truth, should have been claiming the ball but Stace was credited with an OG.
Bay did restore their lead when Emery started the move and finished it with a tap in from six yards with 21 minutes played 2-1.
Bay at times were sloppy with some of their passing but when they got the ball moving quickly they got their reward with Liam Petts getting the Third on 28 minutes via the bottom corner 3-1.
Bay continued to play the ball on the deck and did create some good pressure and could have had a couple more goals from set pieces but Stace and Emery both headed over.
Haley got his first goal of the season and Bay's fourth with another tap in on 40 minutes and then Petts scored the fifth on the stroke of Half time 5-1.
Bay looked to increase their lead in the second half but Hythe scored again from a corner when Coleman miss-judged the flight of the ball and a Hythe forward had a free header 5-2.
After yet another corner Petts scored again after a clearance fell to him just inside the box. He controlled it and volleyed it into the goal extending Bay's lead to four goals with 64 minutes played 6-2.
Jack Page then scored for Bay with a blistering strike from outside the area after picking up the ball out wide 7-2.
Petts got on the score sheet again with his fourth goal 8-2.
Haley again got on the score sheet. After a great move from back to front Haley found himself one on one with the keeper and with a cheeky chip he made it 9-2.
Haley went on to score his hatrick with a overhead kick, showing good agility as the ball was only waist height 10-2. He also joined petts with four goals to his name after taping in after a neat interplay with Petts 11-2.
Substitute Freddie Mills got in on the act after receiving the ball out wide and playing the ball inside he continued his run to smash home a left foot half volley 12-2.
Bay did squander a few chances when it was harder to miss inside the six yard box but overall a good performance. Bay will continue to grow in confidence and improve their overall game, exciting times ahead for this side.
Hythe must be credited for the way they continued to show great enthusiam for the game and should be proud of the way they conducted themselves on and off the pitch.

Bay opened their league campaign away To faversham , after some good results in pre season it was nice to get the campaign up and running.
Starting slowly bay were struggling to cope with Faversham's movement and the constant long ball down the middle and flanks and this cost them when a direct ball down the middle caught bay out and the faversham forward finished well.
Bay started to get a hold of the game after about twenty minutes and were awarded a penalty after a good move between the impressive petts and page. A faversham defender handled on the line. Not quite sure he did but Emery stepped up and the Faversham keeper made a good save low to his right.
Bay continued to keep the ball on the deck and play football and were rewarded when, after a quick throw page squared a ball across the box and Ben Tamplin tapped home from 6 yards in the 42nd minute.
Level at half time , Bay came out in the second half and grew in confidence and were now looking dangerous every time they went forward.
Tamplin picked the ball up wide left and went on a solo run. After beating several players he showed great composer to finish and put Bay 2-1 up in the 62nd minute.
Faversham created a couple of chances and could have levelled but for a brilliantly timed tackle by captain Trill in his own box.
Bay were now dealing with the threats from faversham and went further ahead when Tamplin tapped in again after neat work out wide with another ball into the box Bay now leading with 79 minutes played.
Bay saw out the game and got their season off to a winning start. Although one or two areas need to be worked on this side has the potential to be a very good one.
